After season's hottest day, rains bring relief in Jammu

Light showers here today brought respite to the region, which yesterday witnessed the hottest day of the season so far.
Light showers amid thunderstorm took place in and around Jammu this morning, bringing much-needed respite from heat wave conditions witnessed here yesterday, officials of the MeT department said.
Jammu, winter capital of J&K, recorded the hottest day of the season so far yesterday, as the maximum temperature rose to 41.8 degree Celsius in Jammu City, they said.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 24.4 degree Celsius.
The temperature will keep fluctuating between 35 degrees and 40 degrees, they said.
