AIADMK welcomes Congress MP's moral support to Jaya

: AIADMK's Puducherry unit today welcomed senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP P Kannan's extension of 'moral support to jailed party leader Jayalalithaa in an illegal assets case
Kannan had stated yesterday that he was extending moral support to the AIADMK supremo and that she would scale greater heights because of sympathy and intensified support she was gaining in the context of the current developments.
Addressing party workers at a protest fast in Mudaliarpet to condemn the conviction of Jayalalithaa in the disproportionate assets case, AIADMK legislature wing deputy leader A Anbalagan thanked Kannan for his announcement.
He alleged it was political vendetta by opposition parties who could not bear AIADMK's impressive win solely due to her effective leadership in the April 24 Lok Sabha polls

Anbalagan, who also participated in the fast, said such democratically accepted agitations would continue till Jayalalithaa was released.
A special court in Bangalore had on Sept 27 sentenced Jayalalithaa to four years simple imprisonment in the Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate assets case.
