The roadshow, which started from GPO Park in Hazratganj, was attended by a large number of party workers and youths. It ended at Lohia Park at Chowk where senior cabinet minister Shivpal Singh Yadav was also present.
During the roadshow which covered a distance of 12 kms, people showered flower petals on Akhilesh, who in turn greeted them.
While at Aishbagh Eidgah, the Chief Minister was welcomed by children, members of Muslim community welcomed him at Nakkhas and Akbari gate.
He alleged that BJP and Congress have given the country nothing other than destruction.
Akhilesh said that BJP's development model in reality was "Model of Dividing India". He said that now the people were aware and they would strengthen the third force as an alternative to these parties.
