All facilities under one roof for ex-servicemen:Lt Gen Sawhney

South-West Command Army Commander Lt Gen Arun Kumar Sawhney today assured that progressive steps would be taken to provide facilities like pension, health and canteen services to ex-servicemen under one roof here.
"Ex-servicemen will get facilities like pension, health and canteen services under one roof," he said.
He presented a cheque for Rs one lakh to the Rezang La Trust here while eulogizing their activities .
Sawhney was the chief guest at Rezang La Shauriya Samaroh held under the auspices of the Rezang La Shauriya Samiti on the 53rd anniversary of Rezang La battle.
It was fought between the Charlie Company of the Kumaon Regiment and the Chinese forces at the Rezang La Post.

Gen Babby Mathews, Colonel of the Kumaon Regiment, presided the event.
He praised the samiti for its service to the families of the martyrs and the ex-servicemen for past three decades.
The chief guest honoured as many as 85 war widows on the occasion.
