Anjan Lahiri is new Birlasoft CEO

Mindtree co-founder Anjan Lahiri has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Birlasoft, a global IT services company of C K Birla Group.
Lahiri will lead a global workforce of over 4,000 employees to steer Birlasoft in its phase of growth, a statement by Birla Group said today.
He will also be responsible to bolster company's capabilities in emerging areas of cloud and analytics and to drive synergies with global clientele, it added.
"Birlasoft is going through an interesting growth phase, and Anjan's appointment comes at the right time. He brings with him a rich experience of growing organisations," Birlasoft Chairperson Amita Birla said.
With Anjan, the aim is to make delivery teams more agile to changes emerging from end customer behaviour and enable customers to transform and align to their business goals, she added.
Until recently, Lahiri was the CEO of Bangalore-based Sasken Communications Technologies.
Lahiri has been associated with Wipro Infotech and later, founded mid-sized IT firm Mindtree. He moved on from Mindtree in 2013 to take on new challenges.
An alumnus of the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Lahiri holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical and Electronics engineering.
He also holds an MBA from the University of Florida, Gainesville US.
