"More than six lakh students are going to take the examination. Post-bifurcation, we are conducting the class 10th examination separately for the first time in the (new) AP. The examination would begin on March 26 (Thursday) and end on April 11," said the state HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao.
The dates were finalised keeping in view the academic calender and seeing that they don't clash with any other academic events, he said.
Meanwhile, ESL Narasimhan, Governor for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, today held a meeting with the Chief Secretaries of both the states.
The Governor had held a meeting with the education ministers of both the states earlier on the issue.
