Apeejay Surrendra Group to add 17 midscale hotels by 2020

Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels plans to add 17 properties under its mid-segment brand 'Zone by the Park' by 2020 as part of its expansion plans across the country.
The group currently has three properties, one each in Jaipur, Coimbatore and Chennai, under the brand.
"We are aggressively looking at expanding our footprint with Zone and aim to have 20 properties by 2020, this will be about 1,500 keys in the next 4 years," Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels MD Vijay Dewan told PTI.
Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels is the hospitality arm of Apeejay Surrendra Group.
The destinations that the company is looking at for expansion includes Mahabalipuram, Bengaluru, Coorg, Puducherry, Kelambkkam, Bhubaneshwar, Jodhpur, Raipur, Goa and Igatpuri, he added.

"We are planning to expand its footprint further in South, North and West India," Dewan said.

Out of 17 additional properties that the company is looking at, five will be added by end of this year, he added.
He said the new properties under the 'Zone by the Park' brand, which was launched in 2013, would be on a management contract basis.
"The properties under the brand will be managed by us. Every Zone property is owned by separate owners across locations and managed by The Park," Dewan said.
