Additional Superintendent of Police Rasna Thakur told reporters that Rakesh Soni and Anoop Soni informed the police today morning that gold and silver jewellery was looted from their shop.
Thakur said that about five robbers entered the shop, threatened a 30-year-old watchman at gunpoint, stuffed cloth into his mouth, tied him up with a rope and looted the ornaments.
The culprits also broke CCTV camera wires before the robbery and took away two mobile phones of the watchman along with jewellery worth Rs 50 lakhs, Kotwali police station in-charge Vimal Shrivastava said.
The police has registered a case under Sections 396 and 397 against the culprits.
