Arms factory unearthed in Shamli

Police today claimed to have unearthed an illegal arms factory in Shamli district and seized huge cache of arms and ammunitions with the arrest of a person, a senior official said.
SP, Shamli, Vijay Bhushan told mediapersons that police seized two country-made guns, 45 guns in process and 151 live rounds of pistols from the premise while one person has been arrested and another one is absconding.
The factory was being operated from a basement of a house at Kairana town in Shamli, he said, adding that the accused have been supplying arms in nearby areas in UP and Uttarakhand.
