Army jawan injured in militant attack
Press Trust of India Srinagar An army jawan was injured today when militants opened fire on their vehicle in Shopian district of south Kashmir.
Militants opened fire on a private vehicle hired by army for patrolling at Tharina village in Shopian, 52 kms from here, resulting in injuries to one soldier, a police official said.
He said the injured soldier was rushed to Army hospital at Awantipora.
Further details of the incident are awaited, he added.
