Arunachal Chief minister Kalikho Pul addressing the council of Confederation of Indian Industry here today said the north-eastern state has witnessed less development due to historical isolation.
"We need investments to accelerate economic activity and also to promote entrepreneurship," Pul said.
He said that the state was keen for industrialisation for which the government would acquire land with least hurdles, provide power subsidy and other fiscal incentives.
In order to facilitate entry of machinery for industry, Arunachal was in talks with Assam to establish various links. "These links will be probably ready by two years".
Food processing and horticulture were other promising areas for investment.
Pul said there was no homegrown insurgency in Arunachal Pradesh and all investments would be safe and secure.
The state was also in the process creating a brand image for itself, he added.
