ASI, 3 government officials caught red-handed accepting bribe

Three government officials and an assistant sub-inspector were allegedly caught red handed while accepting bribe, Haryana Vigilance Bureau said today.
The said officials had been arrested recently and have been booked under Prevention of Corruption Act, the official spokesperson of the bureau said.
Sleuths of the bureau in Hisar caught executive engineer D D Kamboj and section officer Virender Chugh, both employees of state-run HAFED, accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 and Rs 13,000 respectively from a resident of Sirsa.
In another case, officials arrested ASI Ram Phal in Jind while accepting an illegal gratification of Rs 5000 from one, Vinod in lieu of eradicating certain sections from a case registered on April 25.
In Gurgaon, the bureau arrested junior engineer of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam, Surender Kumar Ahuja, after he was caught accepting bribe of Rs 20,000.
