Case lodged against 5 for assaulting FCI manager

A criminal case was registered against a truck driver and four others for allegedly assaulting an FCI manager when he enquired about shortfall in consignment of wheat, police said today.
Food Corporation of India manager Daya Sagar alleged that the five accused thrashed him when he asked the driver about the shortfall of 60 kg of wheat in the consignment of wheat bags at the weighing machine.
The wheat bags were brought from Dharamkot FCI godown.
The truck driver was identified as Raja Singh while four others have not been identified so far, police said.
