ASI killed in road accident
ASI Gurmail Singh, aged 55, who was deployed on prison duty, was going to the Central jail on his motorbike when the accident happened, police said.
The ASI suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The truck driver fled from the scene, police said adding a hunt had been launched to apprehend him.
