"A state-level committee headed by the chief secretary would be set up, and it would meet quarterly to review all cases of atrocities on women and the action taken by various authorities," Singh said.

Similarly, a district-level committee headed by the respective Deputy Commissioners would meet once in a month to take stock of the situation, he said.

"Zero-tolerance in cases of crime against women would be cardinal point of administration and police personnel would have to ensure prompt registration of FIR, followed by speedy investigation and trial of the accused
