Asif, who has faced a tale of woes since 2010 when he and teammates Mohammad Aamir and Salman Butt were found guilty of spot-fixing in England, was robbed by four armed men near the Lahore airport as he returned early morning after dropping a friend.
"They took away around 92,000 rupees in cash, my wallet which had bank cards, my passport and expensive watch," Asif told reporters.
"It was a scary incident for me although I have been through a lot in the last two years and even spent some time in jail," Asif said.
"They were armed and I had no option but to quietly give what they wanted. The incident unnerved me but later I reported the matter to the police station of the area," he said.
Street crimes are common in Pakistan's biggest city, Karachi but are witnessed on a lesser scale in Lahore.
Asif, who has also served a few months in jail in the United Kingdom for spot-fixing last year, was also banned by the ICC's Anti-Corruption tribunal in Feb, 2011 for his role in the scandal that broke out during Pakistan's tour to England in 2010.
