Considering the pending demand of the journalists in the state for their welfare, the government has considered to include the dependents of the journalists making them eligible to avail financial assistance for medical treatment, the release said.
The dependent family members included wife/widow or husband/widower of the journalist, father or mother who are unemployed, son/unmarried daughter who is unemployed and is below the age of 28 years, it added.
