While, forenoon session was stalled by treasury bench members who trooped into the well with posters and banners accusing the Centre of ignoring Odisha's interest while dealing with Polavaram project and providing assistance for natural calamities, Congress created ruckus in the afternoon.
Due to pandemonium by ruling BJD members as soon as the House assembled for the day, Speaker Niranjan Pujari adjourned the House till 3 pm.
Holding placards, angry Congress members threw banners and posters at Speaker while the party chief whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati climbed the podium and broke the mike on the table.
As the pandemonium continued, the Speaker announced the adjournment till tomorrow.
In the forenoon session, the treasury bench members lashed out at the successive central government accusing them of ignoring Odisha on several issues including natural calamities.
The Congress members said that it was agreed at the all party meeting on Saturday that two motions by the Opposition on the issue of chitfund would be taken up for debate in the House.
But when the House assembled today, treasury bench members created ruckus in a bid to avoid a discussion on the chit fund issue, Mishra claimed.
