Auto driver impaled by iron rods, dies

An auto-rickshaw driver died today after being impaled by iron rods that pierced through his vehicle after it rammed into a stationary truck in Kavi Nagar area here.
Thirty-year-old Deepak Tyagi died on the spot as multiple rods pierced through his body, police said.
The mishap occurred in the morning when Tyagi, a resident of Sahibabad area, was going to work.
When he reached near the Civil Line police post on NH-24, his auto-rickshaw hit the truck loaded with iron rods which were protruding from it, they said.
"Multiple iron rods pierced through Deepak's chest and hands, leading to his death on the spot. We have seized the truck and investigating the case," a police officer said.
