Bag containing Rs 2.5 lakh restored to Metro commuter by CISF

A CISF official today restored a handbag containing Rs 2.45 lakh cash to a commuter who forgot it in a Delhi Metro station.
The incident happened at 11:40 AM when CISF Head Constable M K Singh noticed an unclaimed bag lying at the X-ray scanning machine at the Laxmi Nagar metro station here.
The official then segregated the bag for a security check and it was found that the bag contained cash of Rs 2.5 lakh, a senior official said, adding, it was deposited with the station controller's office.
A person identified as Hansraj, a resident of Trilokpuri area of Delhi, later came back to claim the bag from Metro authorities which was returned to him after due verification, the official said.
