Bank of India deploys Microsoft's Share Point solution

Tech giant Microsoft today said public sector Bank of India has deployed its SharePoint solution to automate the loan and application deposit process in its over 4,100 branches and 50 zonal offices across India.
The automation of 15 different loan application forms have reduced the turn-around time for filling up applications by 50 per cent, improved customer satisfaction and increased operational efficiency, Microsoft said in a release.
Bank of India is an early adopter of Microsoft SharePoint and has set this as a benchmark for other nationalised banks to increase efficiency and collaboration, especially for customers who prefer online transactions and access their bank accounts over the internet, it added.

Info Edge Q3 Net up 4.6% at Rs 32.2 cr
* Info Edge, which owns the online job portal naukri.Com. today said its profit after tax rose by 4.6 per cent at Rs 32.2 crore in the third quarter ending December 31, 2013 from Rs 30.8 crore in the year-ago period.
Net sales stood at Rs 123.4 crore up by 15.9 per cent in October-December this fiscal compared to Rs 106.4 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2012, Info Edge said in a release.
"This is a result of the IT/Tech sector performing well, and an improved competitive position. Margins are holding up well despite the continued investment in several businesses, in product, sales team and brand awareness," Info Edge CFO Ambarish Raghuvanshi said.
During the quarter recruitment solutions grew by 10.8 per cent, while, the real estate vertical grew by 39 per cent, he added.

eClerx December quarter profits rise 27% * Knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) firm eClerx Solutions today said its profit after tax for the quarter ended December 31, 2013 rose by 27 per cent at Rs 62.3 crore against Rs 49 crore in the year-ago period.
Operating revenue for the quarter ended December 31, 2013 was Rs 219.5 crore in October-December this fiscal against Rs 170.8 crore in the corresponding period last year, marking an y-o-y growth of 29 per cent, it said in a release.
Total revenue including other income for the reported period was Rs 220.2 crore, a y-o-y growth of 30 per cent, it added.
"In USD terms, operating revenue grew by 14 per cent to USD 35.7 million as compared to USD 31.3 million in the corresponding period last year," eClerx said.
The total headcount as of December 31, 2013 stands at 6,620, a growth of 13 per cent year-on-year, it added.
