Base metals prices ended mixed at the non-ferrous metal market here today on alternate bouts of buying and selling on the back of lower London Metal Exchange (LME) cues.
The industrial metals fell at the LME and was trading near three-year lows on jitters about the US Federal Reserve drawing back stimulus, tarnishing the allure of commodities against a backdrop of fitful economic growth.
Nickel declined by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 970 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 975.
Lead moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 135 from Rs 137.
Copper scrap heavy softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 478.
However, copper utensil scrap, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting all inched-up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 442, Rs 329 and Rs 337 respectively.
