At the London Metal Exchange (LME), copper jumped in early trade before paring gains as traders who scooped up the metal near last week's 5-1/2 year lows took profits, with caution over this week's European Central Bank meeting seen keeping a lid on any upward momentum.
Tin shot up by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,470 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,460.
Copper sheet cutting rose by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 400 from Rs 392 and copper armiture climbed by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 405 from Rs 398.
Copper scrap heavy moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 420 from Rs 417.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, brass utensils scrap, aluminium ingots and brass honey also went up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 429, Rs 457, Rs 305, Rs 163 and Rs 312 from Rs 427, Rs 455, Rs 303, Rs 161 and Rs 310.
Aluminium utensils scrap, zinc and lead inched-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 133, Rs 175 and Rs 134.
