(VIB) sleuths today nabbed the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Tarari in Bihar's Bhojpur district while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 11,000 from a person.
Vigilance department's Director General (DG) P K Thakur said one Arun Kumar Singh, husband of a member of Moap Kalan panchayat in Tarari block that BDO Mithilesh Kumar Singh was demanding Rs 15,000 for granting administrative approval to a project of building a concrete village road.
The vigilance sleuths verified the complaint and found it to be true. The complainant bargained to lessen the amount to Rs 11,000 which the BDO accepted.
