Addressing a press conference, Levino Rebello, vice-president of Goa Football Association (GFA) said the two-day event will see 16 local clubs competing for the most coveted title.
The tournament will be played on a knockout basis under the "Beach Soccer Worldwide Rules" recognized by FIFA.
Teams comprising five players each will be seen in a 24-minute face off with a break of three minutes in between. There will be three minutes of extra time in case the scores are tied at the end of regulation time, followed by a tie-breaker and sudden death, said Rebello.
The tournament will prove to be a visual treat as not only will prominent footballers from top clubs of Goa be seen in action, the game will be played under floodlights, a live band, foot tapping music and more, providing a carnival like ambience.
