The Bihar legislative Assembly today passed the second supplementary demands of the state government to the tune of Rs 6,714.22 crore and the Bihar Appropriation Bill (No. 4), 2015, by voice vote on the final day of the inaugural session of the newly-constituted 16th legislative Assembly.
The members approved the second supplementary demands and the Bihar Appropriation Bill (No.4), 2015, by voice vote after Energy minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav and Finance minister Abdul Bari Siddique moved the bills in the post-lunch session.
The passage of the Bihar Appropriation (No.4) Bill, 2015 clears the deck for the state government to withdraw the sanctioned funds under second supplementary demands from consolidated funds of the state.
The house had earlier passed the Governor's address by a voice vote amid a walk out by the opposition BJP.
Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary later adjourned the House sine die.
