As per Met bulletin, Gaya witnessed five degrees above its normal maximum temperature.
The state capital recorded 40.4 degrees Celsius against yesterday's 42.5 degrees Celsius.
Bhagalpur and Purnea recorded maximum temperature at 39.6 and 35.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
In its forecast, Met department said that it would be mainly clear sky in Patna, Gaya and Bhagalpur tomorrow while Purnea might witness partly cloudy sky.
There would be no respite from scorching sun as Met forecasts that Gaya's maximum temperature may hover around 45 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperatures of Patna and Bhagalpur are expected to be around 41 degrees Celsius tomorrow.
