Vehicles, accommodation for Har zila parishad presidents

Presidents of zila parishads in Haryana will now be entitled to official vehicles and an accommodation apart from an over three times hike in their honorarium.
The state government has also announced to increase the travel and dearness allowances, and limit on mobile-phone expenses of zila parishad presidents and vice-presidents, an official spokesman said here today.
"Presidents of zila parishads will be entitled to official vehicles and residential accommodation. They will get an official vehicle with a monthly limit of 3,000 km," he said.
"They would also be entitled to residential accommodation in zila parishad buildings. If no such building is available, they would be able to rent an accommodation of up to Rs 15,000 per month. Earlier this limit was Rs 3,000 per month," the spokesman said.

He said the monthly honorarium of presidents has been increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 10,000 and of vice-presidents from Rs 2,000 to Rs Rs 7,500.
The travel and dearness allowances of presidents will be equivalent to Grade-I state government officers and those of vice-presidents to that of Grade-II officers, the spokesman said.
"Zila parishad presidents will also get telephone connections at their office and residence. Presidents and vice-presidents have been allowed a monthly limit of Rs 1,000 for their mobile phones," he said.
