Union minister Ravishankar Prasad today said that the BJP believed in all-round development of the country and not in vote bank politics.
What was important for BJP was the development of the nation, the Union Law Minister told reporters when asked about AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi's reaction to Prasad's statement that Muslims do not vote for the BJP, but its government has given them "proper sanctity".
Reacting to Prasad's comments, Owaisi while questioning the BJP told a section of media that it was the Constitution that has given them rights.
The minister was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of book release of a spiritual guide Sri M (Mumtaz Ali Khan) 'The Journey Continues', a sequel to his autobiography 'Apprenticed to a Himalayan Master', here.
He said the government "firmly" believed in 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.'
The Narendra Modi government was committed for the development of all.
"Be it Hindus, be it Muslims, be it Sikhs, be it the people from any part of India, we are committedfor the development of all. We are committed to make India a country of inclusion, of development, of all-round development, he said.
