AAP candidate Ram Chandra and Congress' Surendra Kumar have already filed their nominations.
The bypoll was necessitated as Prakash, who won the seat in 2015 on an AAP ticket, resigned as an MLA in March. Subsequently, he quit the AAP to join the BJP.
Prior to filing his nomination papers, Prakash attended a 'hawan' and also participated in a foot-march led by Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari.
BJP MPs Parvesh Verma and Udit Raj, party MLA Vijender Gupta, senior leaders of the Delhi unit and scores of workers also joined the march.
Six senior leaders have been deputed to look after each of the six wards under the Bawana constituency, said the BJP's bypoll in-charge Parvesh Verma.
