Kanpur BJP district President Surendra Maithani alongwith other leaders today met the Governor when he came here to attend the Convocation of Kanpur University and submitted him the memorandum.
In the memorandum, Maithani has alleged that on October 15 some members of Kanpur's municipal corporation insulted the national anthem by creating chaos when the anthem was playing.
Maithani said the Governor has assured him of an investigation into the matter and said he will speak to senior officials in this regard.
