The deceased MCC worker has been identified as Machan Ravi Das (50).
Nirsa police station officer-in-charge Ram Pravesh Prasad said BJP and MCC supporters clashed over taking out poll procession from Shahid Maidan.
Polling in Nirsa constituency is scheduled during the 4th phase on December 14. At present Arup Chatterjee (MCC) is the sitting MLA of Nirsa.
The police officer said Shahid Madan was booked for poll procession of MCC. But BJP supporters of Pitha Kinari villages did not allowed the MCC procession pass through the village.
