Bhawani Singh Rajawat, MLA from Ladpura constituency and former parliamentary secretary in Vasundhera Raje government, was remanded by an Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate.

Four other accused-- Shaktibhan Singh, Smt Hemkanwar Hada, Satish Bharadwaj and Hemraj Singh Hada -- surrendered in court today, but their bail applications were rejected and they too were sent to judicial custody.

A case was lodged against Rajawat and the local party workers on January 12, 2011, after they blocked NH-12 with the body of a man apparently killed in a road accident to protest his death.
