Bharat Singh, party MP from Ballia in the state, is believed to have created a flutter at a meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Party when he raised the issue in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who made no observations.
Sources said the MP complained that schemes announced by the NDA government were not being implemented in the state and the BJP may have to face the consequences in elections.
Uttar Pradesh is ruled by Samajwadi Party and BJP is seeking to come to power in the state after doing well in the Lok Sabha polls. BJP won as many as 71 Parliamentary seats in Uttar Pradesh besides two by its ally Apna Dal, out of a total of 80 seats in the state.
Sources said the MP, a backbencher, was encouraged to speak out by some MPs who handed him over a microphone so that others can hear.
