BJP will launch a 17-day mass contact drive in Bihar on May 26 as part of the country-wide 'Mahasampark Abhiyan' to mark the completion of four years of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre, the party's state unit president Nityanand Rai has said.
The party would also hold the drive from June 23 to July 26 to observe the death anniversary of Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, the founder of Jan Sangh, which was the forerunner of BJP, he said.
During the 'Mahasampark Abhiyan' later this week all wings of BJP from the booth level to the state level would work to create awareness about the Centre's welfare schemes for the poor and common people, Rai said.
BJP is making every effort to ensure that benefits of every scheme reach its target group and no needy person is deprived of it, he added.
