Body of policeman found hanging from tree in UP

An police official allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree and in a note claimed that he took the extreme step due to "harassment" by a magistrate, police said today.
Body of Bijender Singh, who was posted in sub-divisional magistrate court here, was found hanging from a tree. A note was found in his possession, in which it was claimed that he committed suicide due to harassment by the magistrate, a police officer said.
However, magistrate Ramotar Gupta has denied the allegation.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and investigation into the case is on, police said.
