Bogus doctor, daughter get 7 yrs jail each

A bogus doctor and his daughter, who operated on a male patient who came to them for treatment of piles, but died of excessive bleeding, were today sentenced by a local court to seven years rigorous imprisonment each.
The prosecution case was that the 26-year-old man went to the 'doctor' and his daughter for treatment on March 19, 2012. They conducted an operation and he died later of excessive bleeding.
Following this, they were arrested.
Principal District Judge C Jayachandran sentenced them today to seven years RI each.
