"We have began business operations of Bosnian Company Elcom Automation Solutions in Asia with focus on India, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir," Elcom Automation Solutions Business Head Susheel Shabnum Bhat told reporters here.
He was speaking after his Company's coordinating base for Asia was inaugurated by Senior IPS officer and Inspector General of Police (IGP), Alok Puri here.
"Our focus would be energy sector, industry, mining, pharma, cement and chemical process industrial sectors," Bhat said, adding: "This is for the first time company is setting up its Operation base outside Europe."
With annual turnover of five million Euro, Elcom Automation Solutions, which was established in 1992 in Tuzla, Bosnia & Herzegovina, comes with a vast expertise in the field of electrical engineering with a special overview on project solutions of automatic controlling systems in industry and power sectors in Europe.
Elcom is certified partner of Siemens Industry Automation and Drive technologies and has the certificate of Quality Management System ISO 9001: 2008 for production and Sale of systems for automation control processes, he said.
Keeping in view the rich water resources in J&K and a good number of existing and upcoming Hydro Electric Power projects in the state, Elcom believes there is a lot of scope for modernisation, automation and renovation of old power plants here and a good reason to have the first ever representation office established for Asia in J&K.
