BSF constable injured in attack

P Devula Naik, who had come on a holiday, was going to Wanaparthy from Paddemandadi mandal of Mahabubnagar on his bike when at least two persons fired at him, a police officer said.

Naik received bullet injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, police said adding he was out of danger.

"We have not yet recorded his statement and so the exact cause and other details on the incident were still not known," the police officer said adding a case of 'attempt to murder' was registered.
