BSF jawan commits suicide after killing wife

A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan committed suicide with his service rifle after killing his wife at Fatikcherra in West Tripura district on Sunday night, the police today said.
A BSF constable Surinder Mathi (27) of Odisha was on sentry duty at Fatikcherra BSF battalion (195 Bn) headquarters and at around 10.40 PM, other jawans and officers of the nearby barrack heard two gun shots, the police said.
According to an FIR, Surinder and his wife Khushi Debnath (24) were lying on the ground in pool of blood, they said adding, it was suspected that the BSF constable shot his wife following a family dispute.
Investigations were on, they added.
