The intruder identified himself as Shahid Karim, aged around 40 years and a resident of Bahawalpur of Pakistan, police said.
Border Security Force personnel caught Karim, after he crossed over the border last evening, and handed him over to police.
Sources said this was the second time he was caught for crossing the border.
Karim was arrested in 1980 and jailed for few years before being pushed back into Pakistan, they said.
