BSP has moved an application for the disqualification of its MLC Hargovind Singh who had joined the BJP earlier this month.
"The party has moved an application for disqualification of Hargovind Singh under the Anti-Defection Law as he has joined BJP," BSP General Secretary and Leader of Opposition in the legislative council Naseemuddin Siddiqui said.
Singh, a sitting member of the council, had met BJP state in-charge Om Mathur here on January 17 and joined the party, earlier this month, at a function with some other members of the BSP in the presence of state unit president Laxmikant Bajpai.
