Suresh Kumar, a bullion trader was robbed of Rs 6 lakh, silver jewellery and other valuables at Alwar by a group of half-a-dozen robbers yesterday, they said.
The robbers entered the house of the victim and committed the crime while injuring Omprakash, neighbour of Kumar who had come to the rescue of the family, police said.
"Hearing cries of the family, Omprakash entered the house and confronted the robbers who injured him and decamped with around Rs 6 lakh in cash, silver jewellery and other valuables," they said.
