Bus helper killed, 5 injured in road accident

A bus helper was killed and five passengers were injured when a bus carrying them hit a truck in Odisha's Balasore district today, police said.

The mishap took place on National Highway 5 near Chitapada village when the Baripada-bound bus from Bhubaneswar hit the truck from the rear while trying to overtake it, the police said.

The injured have been admitted to Balasore district hospital, the police said.

The bus driver fled from the spot.
