Troubled actress Amanda Bynes has been put on psychiatric hold for the second time after bizarrely accusing her father of abuse only to retract later.
Bynes was taken immediately to a facility in Pasadena, California after landing here yesterday, reported Us magazine.
The move comes just hours after Bynes accused her father on Twitter of sexually, physically, and verbally abusing her as a child, a claim denied by her mother Lynn.
"I am heartbroken today for my husband of 47 years. Rick has been the best father and husband a family can ask for. He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually.
"These accusations are absolutely horrible and could not be further from the truth! These allegations stem from Amanda's mental state at the moment. They have no basis in reality. It saddens me beyond belief that my husband's character could be slandered in such a way."
Bynes then retracted her claims, tweeting: "My dad never did any of those things The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me."
The 28-year-old was arrested last month for her second DUI and was reportedly caught shop lifting in New York.
Bynes has been in a troubled state for almost two years now. She spent six months in rehab following a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold last year.
