C'garh polls: 9 candidates file nominations

Nine candidates today filed nominations for the first phase of Chhattisgarh Assembly polls taking the total number of candidates having done so to 21.
Today was the fourth day of filing of nominations for the first phase of polling on November 11 in 18 Naxal-affected constituencies of south Chhattisgarh.
Two Congress leaders - Daleshwar Sahu and Mohan Markam - today filed their nominations from Dongargaon and Kondagaon seats respectively, Chief Electoral Officer Sunil Kujur told reporters here.
Other candidates who filed their nominations today include Bhanu Pratap Verma (Shiv Sena) from Khairagarh and Saif Naseem Kureshi (CPI) from Jagdalpur.
