Agitated over alleged recovery of carcass of a calf from a house, locals held protest and set ablaze two vehicles in Churu district of Rajasthan.
"A mob set ablaze a private bus and a truck after the carcass was recovered from the house of a local man yesterday," Additional Superintendent of Police, Churu, Rajkumar Chaudhary said today.
Demanding arrest of the accused, the mob pelted stones prompting police to use mild force to control the situation, the officer said.
"The accused and his mother have been arrested and additional police force was deployed in the area to maintain law and order," he said.
