Five deers found dead in lake

Five spotted deers were today found dead in a lake in Valapadi in the district, a forest official said.
Veterinary doctors, after post-mortem, said the deers had died due to poison, Attur Forest Range Officer Serjajudeen told PTI.
It was suspect the deers could have eaten poisonous seed or leaves and had come to drink water in the lake, he said.
Forest officials are investigating if there was any foul play in the death of the deers, he added.
