Cardboard factory gutted in fire at Jalandhar

At about 6 AM, Harish Kumar, owner of the factory, received a call from a worker that smoke was emanating from the unit.

It took more than two dozen fire engines and five hours to extinguish the ensuing fire, the officials said.

The owner said the blaze caused a loss of more than Rs 20 lakhs.
