Carnival Motion Pictures, part of the Carnival Group, today said it has tied up with 200 Not Out, which is producing a docu-feature on legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, after bagging the rights from World Sports Group.
Carnival Group in a statement said its multiplex chain Carnival Cinemas will leverage its existing network, including the recently acquired Big Cinemas, and distribution expertise to release the film in over 3000 theatres across the world.
"We are delighted to be a part of this exciting project and are thankful to 200 Not Out and Sachin Tendulkar. It is a challenging project which involves developing a new genre in the Indian context," Carnival Group Chairman Shrikant Bhasi said.
He also noted the production team will give viewers a different experience with many never seen moments from the professional and personal life of the Master Blaster.
The yet-to-be-named docu-feature will have a combination of real time shots and a collection of unviewed archival footage of the ace cricketer.
Cricketers from across the world, along with personalities from different walks of life, have shared their experiences and anecdotes on the iconic batsman.
"Our association with Carnival Motion Pictures adds an exciting dimension to the docu-feature. The challenge with the project is that it is believed that everything and anything about Sachin is known.I am sure it will appeal to a cross section of audiences across the world," 200 Not Out founder Ravi Bhagchandka said.
The company did not divulge the release date of the docu-feature.
